I love this title. The U.S. government "struggles"
to ensure that people who are supposed to leave actually leave. We have the most sophisticated technological minds in the world here--if we wanted to enforce our immigration laws, we would be doing just that. The U.S. military just spent $3 million to begin developing facial recognition software that allows anyone with a cell phone to identify individuals 50 yards away. This invariably will help stop suicide bombers, "insider" attacks, and other deadly assaults on our servicemen. Where there is a will there is a way and the fact is, enforcing ICE laws has never been a priority of either party when it had the White House. Other less advanced countries take their sovereignty far more seriously than our own. Once again, we find ourselves with a dynamic of the elites who were happy to keep the cheap influx of cheap labor versus the people who understand where all this leads. Now the same people who allowed millions of illegal immigrants to come and remain here insist the answer to decades of government malfeasance is a pathway to voting rights? How convenient--for them.
