Two dozen Ohio teachers train to take down school shooters
Posted by Staff
The Daily Caller reports:

Over three days, two dozen participants in Ohio’s first-ever (and the nation’s first-ever) Armed Teacher Training Program learned tactical maneuvers, basic gun use and how to better stop some maniac who is shooting up a school.

The nonprofit Buckeye Firearm Foundation spent $30,000 to fund the course, reports The Columbus Dispatch.

An outfit called the Tactical Defense Institute trains all comers, including federal agents, in self-defense and weapons use. The course is conducted the training at a rural instruction center.

The 24 participants were selected from a pool of over 1,400 applicants after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in December.
