The immigration reform bill landed yesterday and Sen. Rubio (R-FL) has been at the forefront defending the bill from any and all criticism. The comprehensive bill is a breezy 844 pages in length - for now - but no matter what myth-busting information is released by the Gang of 8, numerous failures have already become apparent in the bill. The enforcement triggers in the bill are ineffectual, the bill is rampant with special treatment for illegal immigrants, and "family members can piggyback" on those with their new R.P.I. status, just to name a few. Conservatives demonstrated yesterday, by not passing the Toomey-Manchin background check bill, that their voice is strong and effective. The immigration bill is DOA but now it is up to Conservatives to voice their displeasure and end this debate.
