The Left's St. Patrick's Day Beer-cott Posted by Staff
Leave it to the left to manage to politicize even a simple holiday parade. While Irish-Americans are celebrating the end of snakes on the Emerald Isle, and St. Patrick’s missionary zeal, Mayor de Blasio and other LGBT-allied groups are boycotting the event. In fact, some of the world’s biggest names in the beer industry have caved to the intimidation tactics of gay rights groups. The day before the event, Guinness withdrew its sponsorship of the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade, the world's oldest and largest of its kind, while Sam Adam’s breweries dropped their sponsorship of Boston’s parade over concerns that gay groups were prohibited from promoting their political and sexual views. While these beer giants have caved to LGBT pressure, Ford Motors remains the only large sponsor of the parade brave enough to maintain its support.
