Immigration reform bill mirrors Obamacare failure

In analyzing the immigration reform bill currently in the Senate, Laura makes the connection between Obamacare and the Gang of Eight's bill. "Obamacare for the borders, Obamacare for our children," Laura declares. Like the comprehensive Obamacare failure, immigration reform now exceeds 1000 pages and Sen. Rubio has been the face of the bill since it's inception. "Sen. Rubio emerged as a key player in immigration reform early on, and he's therefore Obama's new favorite Republican," Laura remarks. Obama knows he can utilize his presidential power to waive certain restrictions and requirements for immigrants who seek entry into the country, and would therefore effectively neuter any immigration reform bill Rubio and the Senate can pass.
Author of the Patriot Act Rep. Sensenbrenner: The NSA has gone too far

Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) discussed the current immigration debate and the NSA scandals currently under review. Sensenbrenner argued that, "amnesty is not the way to go," and agreed with Laura that some conservative Republicans are "getting into bed with the wrong people" on this issue. He was also adamant that he does not agree with either Sen. Rubio or Rep. Ryan on immigration. As one of the authors of the Patriot Act, Sensenbrenner commented that, "Section 215 mandates only a foreign national, not a citizen, in a targeted terrorism operation can have their business records and phone calls investigated". He believes that the current intelligence database goes far beyond what the Patriot Act allowed, and posed the rhetorical question that "if the Patriot Act was so effective, why couldn't the authorities stop the bombings at the Boston Marathon?"
