Senators are completely out of touch with the American people

"We need to retrain our senators to think! The people of this country - with the exception of our legislators' rich donors - are struggling. Why would Democrats and Republicans want to make it harder for regular middle class folks to make it in this world? This immigration legislation raises unemployment, lowers wages, and increases the Democrat constituency. We cannot fix it. We must ditch it."

Rep. Mo Brooks slams Karl Rove and challenges Paul Ryan on immigration reform

Senator Brooks (R-AL) spoke of his disdain for the immigration bill saying that it, "betrays the values of good Americans". Brooks warned that, "if we continue on this path, not only will this be an amnesty bill but it will become an open borders bill too." He disputed the CBO's assessment of the economic effects of the bill, siding, instead, with The Heritage Foundation's report that "Americans' income is going to go down over the next decade if this bill passes." He also tossed out accusations by other Republican senators that the GOP doesn't appeal to minorities: "We appeal to American voters who believe in the values that make this nation great and it doesn't make any difference what your skin color may be." Legendary host Monty Hall earns a Lifetime Achievement Award for his game show, Let's Make a Deal

Monty Hall, host and co-creator of the television game show Let's Make a Deal, recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Daytime Emmy Awards. He discussed how game shows of today, regrettably, have become more and more about the prizes and money when "it really should be about the game." He also explained how he began his career in the entertainment business while he was serving in the Canadian army. While serving, he wrote and performed in "army shows" and realized he had a knack for entertainment. Hall predicts that all of the gratuitous sex and violence constantly displayed on TV today will pass and that "the old type of comedy will eventually return." (Laura 365 Exclusive) Facebook Fark Furl
