Laura is not impressed by the glorification of the "President's Club"

Laura is not impressed by the "President's Club" and sees it as elitist. Laura says, "our club is the US of A and they work for us." Similarly, the White House Correspondents Dinner is this weekend and it has been "celebritized," according to Laura. Originally the Dinner was intended to honor great reporting and now it is just another party with celebrities.
Speaker Gingrich wants a different kind of Washington

Speaker Gingrich says that this President's Club is not about ideas, it is about personality. He is equally unimpressed with the elitism it encourages and says, "there are moments where people with big ideas change many things, and then there are many periods where the insiders...lead to decay." Speaker Gingrich spoke out against the proposed immigration bill, warning Americans of the hidden dangers. He says, "I don't want to give any single bureaucrat the level of power that they routinely write into these bills."

Mark McKinnon says Bush's legacy will improve

McKinnon supports Bush and dismisses any errors he made; "you can look at any president and you can say that about any president." He says that Bush's presidency, in light of the Boston bombings, changed people's perspectives and their opinion of Bush. He says, "the recent events in Boston made us remember what it was like right after 9/11 and at the time we thought that that was what was going to be happening every week." Bush showed tremendous strength and leadership.
