Tea Party vs. Boehner: Lt. Col. Allen West issues warnings to GOP leadership
Posted by Staff
Republican leadership think they can control Tea Party voices in the new year's midterm election cycle, but in an interview today, Tea Party favorite Lt. Colonel Allen West says not so fast.

West, who does not support the Ryan-Murray budget deal, issued a warning of sorts to the Republicans who had been so anxious to cut a deal with Democrats: "Paul Ryan and the Republicans that voted for that budget deal really have to do something to gain back the trust of the military retirees."

Laura then asked West about the New York Times' whitewash report on Benghazi, which tries cover up the failings of Hillary Clinton. When questioned about why Republicans on Captiol Hill haven't done more to move forward with a select committee to investigate Benghazi, West replied, "why John Boehner and Eric Cantor won't bring that to the floor for a vote, I have no idea, but the longer they delay that, it makes them look more complicit."
