A few weeks ago, when he was pushing for gun control measures after the Newtown massacre, President Obama said "if there’s even one thing we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try." So how ironic and revealing that on Friday he became the first sitting president to address Planned Parenthood the organization responsible for more death and destruction of innocent life in America than any other. At a breakfast speech, the president actually praised the abortion factory: “Lives you saved, women you’ve empowered, families that you have strengthened.” The millions of infants who have had their lives brutally ended in the clinics of abortuaries nationwide are apparently irrelevant to the man. Obama proclaimed that Planned Parenthood "is here to stay" and ended his remarks with "God bless you." To that, one can only say, "God help us." President Obama was right, he does have an "obligation to try" to "reduce this violence"--there are millions of lives waiting to be saved.
