Obama's Super Bipartisan Scam
Posted by Laura Ingraham |
When Obama dropped by the House Republican retreat in Baltimore he called for a new spirit of bipartisanship and civility in Washington. Amid the heavy-handed religious demagoguery in his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, the president chastised those who refuse to support his budget-busting schemes, again calling on those who disagree with him to immediately change their positions--or as he phrased it, find "common ground."
Ever since Scott Brown broke the Democratic headlock on Congress, Obama has taken on a reserved, conciliatory tone. Instead of ignoring Republicans and locking them out of legislative negotiations, he now tells them to join the grand bipartisan utopia he's building in Washington. And yet, the White House Super Bowl party, billed as a bipartisan affair, featured only one Republican: Joseph Cao, a RINO from Louisiana who voted for ObamaCare.
It's a fact that exposes the swiss-cheese nature of Obama's rhetoric. Follow orders and you will be rewarded. Ignore demands for "common ground," and face the consequences. Now that's bipartisanship we can believe in. |
