Another young person isolated, alone for hours, glued to a screen, with no prior arrests turns to deadly violence

We as a society haven't begun to fully comprehend how young Americans are becoming more detached, less connected to family, friends and neighbors, in part because technology gives a false sense of power and connectedness. Today more Americans of all ages are "cocooning" themselves in a world we find increasingly uncertain and unstable. But we cannot withdraw or recoil--we must engage and reach out and fix what ails us. Gun control is not going to solve this. Involved citizens, active, stable families are were we can find solutions.
