An Iowan voter refused to tell MSNBC reporter Vaughn Hillyard who he is supporting for president in 2020, telling Hillyard to "guess."
Hillyard staked out the Iowa State Fair's "Cast Your Kernel" poll station where fair-goers drop kernels of corn into containers in a mock vote for 2020 presidential candidates.
Hillyard asked fair-goer Bob Fisher who he dropped his kernel for as the Iowan was leaving the polling station.
"Guess," Fisher told the MSNBC journalist. "I'm white, old, they call me all kinds of names. Who do you think I would vote for? Come on, you're smarter than that."
"Everybody knows we're the bad people," Fisher continued. "[They say that] I am a racist. I went to school and shared my dorm with a colored guy. I have nothing against him. I grew up in the East."
When pressed by Hillyard, Fisher said that President Trump is not a racist. Hillyard then asked if Fisher understood why others called the president a racist.
