Earth to the GOP on immigration: The winning strategy is to do right by the American people first
Posted by Staff

Once again, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has proven himself to be the tireless hero struggling to protect hard-working Americans and defend Conservative principles. Today, Sessions issued a memo to his Republican colleagues attacking the “nonsense” that is the most recent Obama press release on immigration. The press release, which is saturated in “cheap demagoguery” and false threats echoing the rhetoric of those Democrats like Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin, seeks to mask its underlying stench of big business special interests and shameless voter grubbing. In response to the administration’s poorly veiled self-interested agenda, Sessions exposes this guise for the facade that it is with one simple question: “What about the needs of [American] workers?”

Sessions calls for Republicans to “refocus all of our efforts on a united push to defend these Americans from the Administration’s continued onslaught.” He voices the dilemma to Republicans quite plainly – “The GOP has a choice: it can either deliver President Obama his ultimate legislative triumph—and with it, a crushing hammer blow to working Americans that they will not soon forgive—or it can begin the essential drive to regain the trust of struggling Americans who have turned away.” Sessions’ analysis reveals that the right choice has been in front of us all along – if Conservatives want to win back votes (especially amongst impoverished, hard-working black and Hispanic Americans) they must protect American jobs, rededicate themselves to their conservative roots, dispense with the pork-ridden, manipulative Senate immigration bill, and “speak directly to the real and legitimate concerns of millions of hurting Americans.” Facebook Fark Furl
