Dem "Revolt"...Revolting
Posted by Laura Ingraham
It's all so predictable. After a year of blindly supporting the coolest president ever, Democrats are seeing him as a political liability. From Blanche Lincoln to Evan Bayh, senators in red, purple and even blue states are beginning to voice concerns about issues ranging from the budget to healthcare reform. Even liberal Connecticut corruptocrat Chris Dodd, who is retiring, pushed back against President Obama this week for his march against Wall Street. Senators such as Virginia's Jim Webb (who is not up for reelection until '12) who were stunningly silent before the Scott Brown victory have suddenly found their voice. For him, the focus was pushing back against the decision to try Khalid Sheik Mohammed's in New York. Forgive me if I'm not patting these brave moderates on the back for their political courage and commonsense thinking. Where were they when the country needed them this fall to stop healthcare? Where were they when Eric Holder first made his absurd statements about how the KSM civilian trial would "show the world" how we live up to our values. The fact is, Webb, Lincoln, Casey et al. were ready to see this travesty rammed through Congress when the country was screaming no, no, no! All those who failed to stand with the American people and against the government takeover of healthcare last fall, and who assented to the looting of the federal treasury in the name of "stimulus," should be defeated at the earliest opportunity. The buyer's remorse is contrived--just another Washington con job.

Quote of the Day
I [talked with House Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman] yesterday. I said, 'You keep saying you want to keep current law. I gave him the language [that describes current law]. He said 'But we want to pay for abortions.' I said, 'Mr Chairman, we don't do that now, we aren't going to start.' He said 'But we think we should.'
- Pro-life Rep. Stupak (D) on an encounter with Dem leaders.
