Deal with Iran is a (nuclear) meltdown for Obama's foreign policy

Looks like Sen. Reid’s ‘nuclear option’ last week was just a prelude of things to come, as this weekend, the Obama administration led our nation into a new nuclear agreement with Iran. Unfortunately, neither of these nuclear catastrophes represents a good deal for the American people. As Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI) explained today on the show, the Obama Administration has actually made the world more dangerous by effectively removing the one bargaining tool that was bringing Iran to the table: “The Obama Admin wanted a deal so badly that they were willing to give up the one thing [sanctions] that were pressuring Iran,” he said. Sec. of State John Kerry said that this deal isn’t about trusting the Iranians, and that the US would instead go into this deal with “eyes wide open.” This assurance, however, misses the point. The problem is not just that we can’t trust the Iranians, but that we can’t trust the Obama administration. In fact, at this point, I trust the Iranians about as much as I trust Obama to identify a problem and correct it. Thankfully, this crisis of credibility is starting to become more widely recognized, and as Congressman Rogers explained, “even Democrats” are beginning to recognize it. Republicans must use his cratering credibility to their advantage, because the only way they can truly begin to fix the numerous problems Obama has created during his presidency is to take the Senate and the White House in 2016.
The White House propaganda machine
How are taxpayers’ dollars being used to fund Obama’s propaganda machine? Steven Thomma, President of the White House Correspondents Association, explained that the White House has issued an unprecedented crackdown on the press corps—limiting press access more stringently than any other president in our nation’s history. Thomma explained that many “private” events, which independent photojournalists were barred access from, were open exclusively to White House photographers so they could document the event and subsequently mass distribute the photographs on Obama’s social media platforms. Thomma asserted that the propaganda machine in the White House has only grown over the past five years, and so much so that it has become a multimillion dollar operation with over 60 employees who constantly churn out the President’s message. Thomma is hopeful the exclusion of photojournalists won’t continue, but Laura isn’t holding her breath.
