Ignore the 'King of Bacon,' our real problem is with the Democrats
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) downplayed Governor Christie's recent attacks dismissing them as a waste of time. "We may have some disagreements within the Republican party, but we have plenty of disagreements with the Democrats. I'm going to direct my energies towards disagreeing with Democrats instead." In that vein, Senator Paul also asserted that he would continue to stand with fellow Tea Party leaders in their attempt to defund ObamaCare: "I'm with Mike Lee and Ted Cruz on this; I will try to defund ObamaCare. But I do think it's a mistake to talk about, 'Oh, we want to shut down government.' I don't want to shut down government. I think it's a dumb idea to shut down government. [...] But I will try to fund the part of government that is constitutional and that is not bad for the country, and that means leaving out Obamacare." So much for a new world order... But are we really surprised? Are we surprised that all of Obama's rosy declarations of newfound friendship and cooperation with the former Soviets haven't exactly panned out the way his rhetoric promised it would. I'm not. You don't have to have lived in Russia to know that the former Soviets do not respect weakness, and won't kowtow to impotence. America cannot lead from her knees. We learned this lesson 35 years ago with Jimmy Carter. For such a "scholar" of history, it's a shame that Obama didn't already know better.
