Well that didn’t last long… CNN announced yesterday that after its short-lived run, Piers Morgan Live will soon be axed. Lackluster ratings were to blame for the program's cancellation (Morgan drew only 200,000 viewers for his broadcast). Turns out that alienating half of the country on gun issues certainly doesn't do much to help one's ratings. Yet why CNN ever decided to hire a Brit from a tabloid talent show to debate American cultural issues was a mystery in the first place. Thankfully, the network eventually wised up and has finally corrected this mistake.
