Senate Republicans who are worried about blowback if they oppose Susan Rice for Secretary of State should read this terrific piece by Rick Grenell. Tennessee's Bob Corker was right--she'd be better as DNC Chair. (All along I thought Pres. Obama would name her National Security Adviser, which doesn't require Senate confirmation.). Rice was selected to tell the tale tale about Benghazi for the most cynical reason--the President's team (Valerie Jarrett?) thought a bunch of old white guys in the Senate would not have the backbone to question her. As Grenell points out, Benghazi is only one of many reasons why Rice shouldn't be installed at Foggy Bottom.
